The Eagle Pass City Council discussed the naming of the Eagle Pass Public Library in honor of Mayor Ramsey English Cantu during Thursday’s city council meeting.

Eagle Pass Mayor Ramsey E. Cantu was taken to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room on Tuesday, February 21, after feeling ill during the Eagle Pass City Council meeting.

Mayor Ramsey English Cantu visited 5th grade students from Glass Elementary on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 to provide information on the City’s new plastic bag ordinance. The students sent letters to the City expressing their feelings on the ordinance and Mayor Cantú surprised them with a presentation as well as gifts for the classes.
